The patient interface is a flat screen on which images appear. The patients eye movements in response to the stimuli are captured by the SVOP integral eye tracker resulting in an industry standard visual field map to facilitate diagnosis and clinical management of the patient.
The equipment measures the central 30 degrees of visual field and can be used in normal ambient lighting or in a darkened room.
With most patients, especially children, the patient will only require minimal instructions or no instructions whatsoever, relying instead upon the patients reactions to the stimuli on screen.
The operation of the SVOP instrument is via an intuitive interface, which is integral to the instrument with no moving parts, making the instrument extremely reliable and capable of intensive use in a busy Ophthalmology Department or practice.
Full installation and training is provided with each SVOP Visual Field Analyser supplied. Training is straightforward with the operator becoming familiar and adept with the instrument within a very short period of time.
