With the SVOP system the patient has free head and eye movement so does not have to maintain a single point fixation.

Does the SVOP Instrument have a head rest or chin rest?

Because the patient has free head movement there is no need for a chin or a head rest.

How far away does the patient have to sit from the screen?

The patient has free head movement within a virtual box 45-65cm from the screen (approximately).

Can the SVOP system only be used with children?

The SVOP system can be used to measure fields in the majority of adults and children.

The instrument uses a 14db fixed intensity stimuli.

Does a patient have to remove their spectacles or contact lenses for the test?

It is recommended that spectacles and contact lenses be removed for the SVOP test, but this is not always essential.

Can patients have problems with different styles of spectacle frames?
